What it isSeedance 2.5 is ByteDance's current flagship video model. RelayDance serves it through an OpenAI-compatible endpoint: POST https://relaydance.com/v1/video/generations, then poll the task until the mp4 is ready.

Rates are $13.375 per 1M tokens at 480p and 720p and $14.625 per 1M tokens at 1080p; tokens = width × height × 24 fps × seconds ÷ 1024. The platform pre-charges the worst case at submission and refunds the difference when the real output is settled, and failed tasks are not billed. Per-second figures above are rounded. What a request can carry

  • Duration: 4 to 30 seconds (seconds), or omit it and let the model choose.
  • Resolution is fixed by the SKU you call; ratio via metadata.ratio: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 21:9 or adaptive.
  • Audio: metadata.generate_audio true or false.
  • References in metadata.content[]: up to 30 images cited as @image1 to @imageN, up to 10 videos, up to 10 audio clips (audio-only references allowed). First and last frame images are also supported.
  • Output: mp4, or mov (H.264 + yuv444p + PCM) with metadata.output_format.

FAQ

How much does a Seedance 2.5 video cost?

About $0.13 per second at 480p, $0.29 per second at 720p and $0.71 per second at 1080p. A 5 second 720p clip is about $1.44 and a 30 second 1080p clip about $21.32. Billing is per token on the actual output, so shorter or failed outputs cost less.

What is the maximum clip length and resolution?

Seedance 2.5 generates 4 to 30 seconds per request at 480p, 720p or 1080p. Native 4K is not part of Seedance 2.5: use the seedance-upscale-4k model on a finished clip, or the Seedance 2.0 4K SKU.

Does it support reference images and audio?

Yes. A request can carry up to 30 reference images (cited in the prompt as @image1 to @imageN), up to 10 reference videos and up to 10 reference audio clips, and audio generation is switched on with metadata.generate_audio.

Do I need a BytePlus account?

No. RelayDance relays to the official Seedance infrastructure; you only need a RelayDance API key, paid by card or USDT, with no queue and no KYC.
